The course is built primarily for finance professionals who want to deepen and consolidate their knowledge, so ideally you already have a foundation in working with numbers. At the same time, it is structured accessibly: participants who did not consider themselves experts say they followed it with benefit and made new connections. If you work in the financial area, even without many years of experience, you will manage well.
A great deal, especially when assessing a company’s health from the outside. You learn to read and interpret financial statements and indicators in order to draw correct conclusions about a business, identify risky areas, and recognize attempts to dress up the numbers. These are exactly the competencies useful in credit, leasing, investment, or in relationships with partners, when your decision depends on how well you can read a company.
The course is interactive and works on practical examples, not just definitions. It puts you in a position to find the answers yourself and adapts the discussion to the participants’ areas of activity. You leave with a way of interpreting figures that you can use immediately on the financial statements you work with.
A finance course for non-finance professionals starts from scratch and explains the basic logic of numbers for people outside the field. Financial Analysis goes a step further: it assumes you already have contact with numbers and takes you into interpretation, into correlating indicators, and into making judgments about the health and risks of a business. It is more about what the numbers mean and what decisions you make based on them, than about what the numbers are.
The current edition is held in person at myhive S-Park in Bucharest, over two days, from 9:30 to 16:30. If a future edition includes an online or hybrid option, you will find it on the course page and in the EXEC-EDU calendar.
Because working with reports daily gives you routine, but not necessarily the full picture. The course systematizes what you already do, connects your indicators into a coherent story about the business, and adds analytical and decision-making frameworks such as value-based management and the Balanced Scorecard. It also helps you spot risk signals more quickly and distinguish between healthy growth and growth that is only apparent.
