A Night at the Fish House

195,00  (fără TVA)

An experiential course on developing emotional intelligence, built in the form of an interactive role-play.

Participants experience, in real time, a tense situation – a dinner among friends where the bill becomes the source of conflict. Through role play, practical tools and guided reflection, they learn to recognize authentic emotions, identify the needs behind them and express them clearly, without escalating the conflict.

The course offers a safe and challenging space at the same time, where each participant can train their ability to transform tensions into opportunities for collaboration, both in their professional and personal lives.

The course is held in a small group format, with a minimum of 7–maximum of 15 participants, to ensure real interaction and personalized feedback.

Agenda

The learning experience is centered on an interactive role-play:

A group dinner became tense due to a misunderstanding about how the bill should be split.

The group consists of 12 people, invited by the couple Liliana and Gelu. Gelu’s friends arrived first and ordered for the entire group, while Liliana’s friends arrived later and ordered for themselves.

When Fane, the waiter, suggests that the bill be split equally, it causes frustration, confrontation, and disillusionment.

  • Introducing the context – participants step into the shoes of 15 characters at a social dinner where a conflict arises.
  • Round 1: Live roleplay – everyone experiences the real tension generated by the situation (split bill).
  • Introducing emotional tools – explaining and applying the emotional intelligence model.
  • Round 2: New choices, new voices – participants resume the scene, applying newly learned skills.
  • Guided reflection – discussion about authentic emotions, real needs, and how to express them constructively.
  • Practical application – connecting exercises with real situations from professional and personal life.

Testimonials

Seeing others express their discomfort helped me understand how much I invalidate people – even when I don’t intend to.

I finally said the sentence I had been avoiding for years: “It doesn’t seem right.”

I didn’t expect such a profound insight from something that started with a dinner bill.

This wasn’t roleplay. It was role-feel: I found myself sweating..

This helped our team more than a hundred hours of communication theory.

I left this workshop with actual sentences I can use in my real life.

This should be mandatory for every team. And every family.

Apparently, my discomfort shows up as sarcasm. I saw it clearly today.
